Greenhouse Gas Emissions Shocker

So first off, I love the earth and I'm very "green" (green is also my favorite color) So I really push for people purchasing hybrids, driving less, carpooling, etc. Figured I'd make a Widgenie to try and enlighten some people to this situation, (click the pie grahph it pulls apart:) Trying to convince friends of mine how bad the situation really is (the inuit have no words for certain kinds of birds they have never seen - due to the global temp. rise these birds are now appearing to them for the first time) I did a little Google on the issue. I've found that everyone knows how bad all these cars are for the environment, what I didn't know was that even though cars are soooo bad, there only a small portion of the problem. These stats should enlighten all to the fact that if cars are doing damage, and they only give off 2% of greenhouse gases, maybe we need to do something about the other causes...

Gas Network Leaks!!! Sounds preventable right? just like 19% (acutally 100%) of greenhouse gas emissions are probably preventable too.

Hello iPhone?

So apparently the new "thing" these days is the iPhone... Well I'm all about some high tech gadgets but I just don't see all these features as necessary, I also don't see the high prices as necessary considering I'm likely to lose it (in which case I'd be losing my iPod as well:0) Well I did some research and the results almost make me wanna get one, just because maybe I'll use these features if I acutally have them. Oh yeah...of course I put the results into a Widgenie:)

As you can see, iPhone tops all...these are the percentages of people reporting that from their phone they accessed either the news, a search engine, or music. Maybe if I got an iPhone I would acutally use it to read the news...or google where my very directionally challenged self is located:)

Widgenie for Movies and Games

So I was looking at ways users had found to use Widgenie, and one user acutally found a great usage for Widgenie that not only helped him develop and organize his website more, but acutally gave his website viewers benefit! He has movies and games on his site, so rather than watching or playing ones that wouldn't interest you, he rated them by popularity, humor, and action, so now, you can just see which one has the highest bar for humor if your in need of a laugh!

This is a really good idea for alot of bloggers or webmasters. You could use Widgenie's for your latest poll results, or something like this. http://www.widgenie.com

Widgenie users great Widgenie!- Olympics

Shoulda thought of this myself! Seeing as I've just blogged about keeping track and showing off sports stats with Widgenie's, A user from Widgenie posted in the forum about an idea for keeping track of the upcoming 2008 Olympic Games Medals with Widgenie! She even made a Widgenie for the 2004 Olympics!

So I didn't keep total track of the 2004 Olympics...but judging from this awesome graph Russia owned...

Soccer Tourney!!!

So not only did I really wanna blog about how a friend of mine rocked in a soccer tournament, but he enlightened me as to how she thought it would be a great idea for Widgenie. Of course, Widgenie is great for a million different things so thought I'd show all those sports fans how they can use it to. Check out my friends stats, obviously he's from Riffle City.

I'm a visual person...

So I love to shop, Ebay in particular. I also love not breaking my bank...so I did what nearly every other Ebay user does, and started selling stuff, and then using whatever I made in order to buy stuff. Unfortunately, there's ALOT that goes into selling stuff on Ebay, you have Ebay's fees, shipping fees, a fee for each picture you put up, a fee if you even want to make your items text bold... It's all kind of hard to keep track of so I set up an excel sheet just to make sure I wasn't losing mass amounts of money (which I could do at the mall anyway)again, excel helps but I would much rather see a visual of all this just to keep focus which is where Widgenie comes into play:) As usual this site has helped in more ways than one..I just uploaded all my crazy Ebay data into Widgenie, and of course they let me customize, now I'm able to SEE my profits, losses, etc. :)

Can't deny that this is helpful: More ways to use Widgenie to come!
